Stephanie Canale, M.D.
Stephanie earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at UCLA, and then was a part of the teaching faculty at the UCLA Family Health Center before joining UCLA Santa Monica in 2010. She is a also a member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
As a mother of two, she has a profound passion for helping families. Dr. Canale is a tireless advocate for moms and babies, on a constant quest to develop tools and support for families of all backgrounds and income levels.

Nandita Shetty, BE, MS
A neuro-imaging researcher turned entrepreneur, Nandita Shetty has experience across academia, industry, start-ups and the social sector. Nandita started her career as a software developer at Philips Medical Systems, went on to become a brain scientist and has most recently been focusing on the commercialization of medical innovations and working in the maternal-infant health space. She has worked in the field of Traumatic Brain Injury at UT SouthWestern Medical Centre and Autism Spectrum Disorders at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. She has held operational and management executive roles at a biotech start-up that was founded based on a research discovery at Harvard and also has experience in social impact and entrepreneurship. Her last start-up was in the neuro-developmental disorders diagnostics space.
She was awarded a fellowship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Ignite program on 'Innovation and Entrepreneurship', holds a Master's degree in BioMedical Engineering from UT SouthWestern Medical Center and a Bachelor Of Engineering degree in Medical Electronics from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
Dr. Dawn DeSylvia, MD
Dr. Dawn DeSylvia, M.D. is a board certified, nationally recognized physician. Dr. DeSylvia has studied extensively with the Insitute of Functional Medicienne, The Academy for the Advancement of Medicine and The American Academy of Ozone therapy. She bridges the gaps between medical innovation, ancient wisdom, and sound science to provide an innovative model of patient-centered care. Guided by the understanding that body’s systems are precariously intertwined and there is a profound connection between the nervous system, brain, gut, and immune system, our practitioners take a whole-body approach to healing, led by two guiding questions: 1. What is really making us sick? 2. What do both science and experience prove we can do, at a root level, to foster health, resilience, and longevity?
Elyse Bennett, CLE, MSW
Elyse is a Certified Lactation Educator and parenting expert who has been working with families for 20 years. Aside from her role at Lactation Lab, Elyse is a lactation consultant, mom's group leader and parent educator at The Pump Station in Los Angeles.
Elyse received her Masters in Social Work at USC with an emphasis in Children and Families and her Lactation Educator Certification from UCLA. A mother of two, she is passionate about helping women attain the most empowering breastfeeding experience possible.
Chong Hyun (Paul) Chang, Ph.D.
Paul is a research scientist and expert in toxicology. He currently serves as the Nanomaterial Core Manager at UCLA's UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology. He received his PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from UC Riverside in 2011.
Jennifer Ayla Jay, Ph.D.
Jennifer is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCLA, Department Vice Chair of the Graduate Studies program and Director of the Center for Environmental Research and Community Engagement. She received her BS, MS and PhD all from M.I.T. The focus of her research includes environmental pollution and how it affects our water, food supply and ultimately our health and that of our children. She is also the mother of twins.
